Garbage are taking “an indefinite break” to consider their future after they complete their Australian tour in November.
Scottish frontwoman Shirley Manson has hinted that the break could be permanent.
Manson said, according to contact music: “I don't know if we're calling it a day... We've not stopped for 10 years. We always swore if it wasn't 100 per cent fun, we'd stop it.”
As previously reported on Gigwise, Garbage cancelled their UK, France and Belgium tour in October last month, prompting fears they would split.
The news comes after producer and drummer Butch Vig admitted earlier in the year that the band where on the verge of a split when recording their latest long-player ‘Bleed Like Me’.
