The ‘Mad For It’ Manc’s have been shortlisted for Best Live Act, Best Video, Best Album, Best Track and Best Act in the world today.
In the best new act category, Leeds’ finest Kaiser Chiefs will be up against James Blunt, Jem, Hard-Fi, Magic Numbers and beatmaker MIA.
Coldplay are predictably up for four awards while U2 and Greenday both have three nominations each.
The winners will be voted for by Q readers, radio listeners and TV listener. Jonathan Ross will host the awards ceremony taking place at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on October 10.
