Coldplay were last night forced to cancel their gig in Tampa, Florida after Chris Martin came down with a severe respiratory infection.
Martin reportedly complained of cold symptoms at the bands gig in Miami on Tuesday and credited a doctor from the city with nursing him back into singing shape.
However, Martin’s condition deteriorated forcing the band to cancel the Tampa concert just a few hours before it started.
A statement from the bands management and Clear Channel reads: "The band is attempting to reschedule the performance on a date to be announced. Fans are urged to hold onto their tickets as the existing tickets will be honored for the rescheduled performance."
It is not as yet if any other dates on the tour will affected.
