The Ramones could be about to follow in the footsteps of Buddy Holly and The Doors and have a feature film made about their lives.
Drummer Marky Ramone has revealed that he his currently talking with several companies about the project, he says: "They're calling me (and) talking to me about it to see if I can help them with certain things, pertaining to certain times of the era."
"They're writing a whole formula for it, and I guess everyone is going to sign on eventually. It looks really good." He added in an interview with Billboard.
Ramone also revealed that a museum dedicated to the band is also set to be opened in Berlin this Friday. Ramone said: "That could be the first of many. Just because it's in Berlin, it doesn't mean there can't be one in New York, L.A. or London. It's wonderful - I'm flattered."
He added: "The guy who started the museum in Berlin is a huge Ramones fan. His name is Florian. In fact, every time I would come there, he would be at the shows, and he must have attended every show we played in Germany."
Although he is yet to see the museum in person Ramone says from the pictures he’s seen he was really impressed: "I was amazed at all the effort put into it. It takes a lot of work and time, you know? I'm quite sure with all the stuff Florian has, he probably had enough for two museums. He really was a big collector."
