Keith Richards Not To Play Pirate

Despite reports to the contrary Keith Richards has confirmed that he won’t be appearing in the next ‘Pirates Of The Caribbean’ film alongside Johnny Depp.

In July it seemed a forgone conclusion that Richard’s would accept the role of Depp’s father, Depp based his character Captain Jack Sparrow on the aging rocker and was desperate to get Richards on board.

Depp said a couple of months ago: "It's looking very good. I've talked to Keith about it and he's been super sweet and keen to do it and it's looking very good.

"We are just hoping that we can work out the dates with the Stones tour and everything, but, if that happens, you talk about a dream come true - get to be a pirate with Keith Richards? Does it get better than that?"

But trying to film in filming a movie whilst on a world tour hasn’t proved that easy, but that hasn’t stopped Richards from having fun dressing up with Depp.

Richards said: "Johnny and I spent a great afternoon trying to get these things (costumes) on. But that doesn't mean I'm doing it. At the moment I've turned them down.

"They're shooting while I'm touring. I'd love to do it if there was no hassle, but it would be a side trip. I know what my gig is. The idea of working for Disney gives me the shivers in the first place."
