Million Dead are to split up after their final UK tour date in Southampton on September 23.
The band have reached a mutual decision to part company, despite having a successful year with their acclaimed second album ‘Harmony no Harmony’.
The band said in a statement: "Million Dead are breaking up. After four years and two albums, we have mutually decided that this is best thing to do.
“Irreconcilable differences within the band mean that it would be impossible to continue, and anyway, we'd rather leave a good-looking corpse.
“Our reasons are personal and assured. Therefore, the upcoming September tour will be our last.”
The band release their last single ‘To Whom It May Concern’ on September 19 to support the UK tour. They play the following dates:
Exeter Cavern – September 14
Oxford Zodiac - 15
Bristol Louisiana - 16
Nottingham Rock City - 17
Glasgow Barfly - 18
Manchester Roadhouse - 19
Birmingham Bar Academy - 20
London Underworld - 22
Southampton Joiners - 23
