Ian Brown has confirmed that he will be releasing a new album by next year.The monkey man hopes to hit the studio in early 2006 and has hinted that the album may be out by the summer.
He told the nme: “I’m definitely looking to get a new record out next year. If I get finished up by May I can get a summer release, or if I get done by July I’ll be finished in the autumn.”
The news seems to weaken rumours that the Stone Roses are set to reform.
Ian Brown releases his best of compilation, ‘The Greatest’, on September 12.
