Fugees To Release New Single Within Three Weeks

Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean and Pras Michel aka Fugees are in the studio and could be ready to release a new single within three weeks.

Speaking to Rolling Stone Wyclef said: "Everybody that's been holding their breath should start letting their breaths go." The trio have already laid down a couple of tracks including one entitled ‘Take It Easy’ which could be released  as their comeback single.

Speaking about the reincarnation of the band Wyclef says: "You've got three individuals that have grown musically. But we're always on the same page - that's the magic of the Fugees. The Fugees is a unique situation, the real marriage of the hood and the suburbs together. It's always exciting."

And according to him they are returning to the sounds that first got them recognised on the streets of New York: "Our first record that blew up in New York City was called 'Mona Lisa/Nappy Heads'. It's like we're going back to the core of where we come from. It's that record, the minute it comes on, you be like, 'Oh, that's what I've been missing!'"

Wyclef also confirmed that the Fugees will definitely be going on tour next summer to take the new record live.
