    King Biscuit Time Announces Tour

King Biscuit TimeThe Beta Band frontman returns with excellent single and full UK tour kicking off up North in Liverpool. Steve Mason, singer and sonic conspirator with the now defunct Beta Band has delivered a weird-pop gem denouncing the American and United Kingdom’s respective secret service forces in the funky ‘C I Am 15’.

Beta Band fans should already be familiar with Mason’s alter ego from the release of the two King Biscuit Time EPs which was met with critical acclaim back in 1998 and 2000.

The Beta Band announced they were bringing it all to a halt late last year after the commercially un-successful but superb swansong ‘Heroes To Zeros’.

They famously refused a ton of money from Budweiser for use of ‘Dry The Rain’ from the Champion Versions EP for a TV advertisement. After releasing their eponomous LP in 1998 they instantly dismissed their own efforts as rubbish.

Now Mason has set up a new record company ‘No Style' with Alan McGee, in order for them to make music without major record label interference.  King Biscuit Time's new record ‘The Crunch' is scheduled for release in Spring 2006.

The dates for his forthcoming tour are:

    Liverpool, Academy 3 – September 17
    Manchester, Night & Day – 18
    Glasgow, King Tuts – 19
    Aberdeen Tunnels – 20
    Edinburgh, Venue – 21
    Bristol, Louisiana – 23
    Cardiff, Barfly – 24
    Oxford, Zodiac – 25
    London, Cargo – 26

A ‘Best Of The Beta Band’ album and DVD will be releases on October 3.
