Rapper Cassidy Has Murder Charges Lowered

Yesterday the murder charges against rapper Cassidy were lowered from first-degree to third-degree.

The charges stem from a shooting outside his Philadelphia home on April 15, Cassidy will now stand trial for third-degree murder.

According to AllHipHop, it is alleged that Cassidy aka Barry Reese murdered Desmond Hawkins, 22 and injured Daniel Irvin, 22 and Bobby Hoyle 21 after a dispute.

Cassidy’s case was recently given a leg up after one of the victims admitted he lied to police and had not seen the rapper fire the weapon that killed his friend.
