Crazy goth Marilyn Manson was shocked recently when a Croatian Catholic priest jumped to his defence after the Christian community tried to ban him from performing.
After seeing Manson in Germany three years ago, Priest Anton Bobas said it was the best concert he had ever attended.
He went on to ridicule those who claim Manson turns teenagers into Satanists: "How could Manson turn young people into Satanists and drug addicts in the two hours of his act?"
According to BreakingNews Bobas plays in a heavy metal band of his own called Messengers Of Hope and has called on Manson’s critics to actually listens to his music.
However, Bobas’s viewpoint clashes with the views held by Christian Groups from the Istrian peninsula who are attempting to stop Manson from performing on August 22 at a gig in Pula.
The Oaza organisation wants to ban the gig, and priests have offered to pay damages to organisers, in a bid to stop Manson ‘promoting’ what they deem as a Satanistic and violent image.
Maybe Messengers Of Hope could play instead?
