A man arrested in connection with shooting Marc Cohn in the head has been charged with attempted murder.
The ‘Walking in Memphis’ singer was shot during an attempted carjack in Denver Colorado on August 7. Amazingly he walked away from the incident with minor injuries as the bullet never penetrated his skull.
As the BBC reports, 26-year-old Joseph Yacteen has been formally charged with first degree attempted murder, second-degree assault, aggravated robbery, two counts of attempted aggravated robbery, 12 counts of menacing and two counts of first-degree criminal trespass.
Prosecutors claim Yacteen was running away from police after attempting to pay a hotel bill with a stolen credit card.
As well as apparently firing into Marc Cohn’s van, he’s alleged to have tried to take a car from another woman before escaping in another vehicle.
Yacteen’s girlfriend, 23-year-old Patricia Vail has also been charged for allegedly helping him in running from police.
