The Duke Spirit have revealed they’re about to head into the studio and record their new album which will be released next spring.
After the bands debut album, 'Cuts Across The Land', was repeatedly delayed until June of this year they are determined to get the next record done before the end of this year. They’ve rented a house in Wales and are raring to go.
Guitarist Luke Ford told the BBC: "We've rented this cottage out there, so we're just gonna go there and record - demo the next album. Got loads of ideas, written loads of songs, so that's the plan.”
Ford also revealed the band may shy away from the feedback and distortion drenched sound of their debut, he said: "First album we were quite intentionally trying to go for quite an intense, raw, abrupt sound.”
“We want to bring in all our other influences a bit more on this one. So maybe we'll quieten down a bit, bring in more instruments, other musicians, things like that."
