Coming from the musical hotbed of Leeds, Duels are one of the many bands tipped for success in 2006. When band Sammy USA broke up, Duels emerged from the wreck with their pop sensibilities in tact. Their initial demos won critical praise, and their first single, “Potential Futures,” was released in July 2005.

Nude Records signed the band in May of that year, with their first widely marketed single “Pressure on You” released in November. Today Duels are awaiting the release of their debut album, expected in early 2006. They toured in support of the Rakes in February, with dates supporting ex-Blur guitarist Graham Coxon to follow.
