Britney's friends have spoken out about her potential Las Vegas residency, saying they don't think she'll be able to cope with the pressure.
The star recently split from her fiance Jason Trawick and quit The X Factor US, leaving friends worried that she won't be able to handle the $100 million deal.
A source told the Mail Online, "I'm not sure just how good an idea Vegas is for Britney right now. If she can't handle The X Factor, how will she be able to perform five days a week in Vegas?
"She's a homebody, she loves her sons and has her daily routine. At this time, she may need to concentrate on her health and happiness - not rebuilding her career."
They went on to say that Britney would not have been able to make it through her time on The X Factor without Jason around, as she was barely seen without him.
"At auditions, Jason would calmly escort Britney by the hand back and forth to her seat during breaks," the source continued. "He was there for her."
And another insider backed the claims up, saying that Britney was shy without Jason around and mentioned an industry party at Soho House last year as an example.
They explained, "Britney stood in a corner and hid. She didn't speak to anyone - you wouldn't even have realised she was there. She's a shy, shy girl."

However, a friend of Britney's insisted that Britney was fine and well, just choosing to focus on her music.
They told Mail Online, "She is well and has amazing family and friends who love her.
"She is dancing five days a week and is in the studio working on her 8th album. She is in demand career wise."
