Australian singer and television presenter Peter Andre is mourning the death of his brother Andrew, who has died from cancer.
Andrew had been battling with kidney cancer since February 2012 and Peter Andre recently postponed all his live shows this year to be by the side of his brother at a London hospital. Andrew Andre died from cancer on Sunday night (16 December 2012) and Peter is now grieving for the loss of his brother.
"Peter is devastated," said a source to The Mirror. "He was very, very, very close to his brother. This is the first family member Peter has experienced losing.
"He just needs time to grieve."
"Everyone was with him when he passed away," said a family friend to the newspaper. "They all did everything they could for Andrew and there wasn’t one waking minute when he wasn’t with somebody."
Peter has been joined by his parents and Andrew Andre's wife and daughter at his brother's bedside.
Andre was rocked earlier this month when Twitter trolls began spreading rumours that Andrew Andre had died days before his death. Rumours were spread online which many dedicated fans called 'sick'.

Andre had planned to reschedule his 2012 tour for early next year, and a statement was issued revealing his plan to honour his planned live shows.
"Fortunately it has been possible to reschedule the five remaining 2012 dates on the Up Close & Personal Tour to take place following his pre-existing shows in January 2013," said a statement at the start of December 2012.
Ticket holders who are unable to make the rescheduled shows are asked to request a refund from their point of purchase.
