Death From Above 1979 are set to return to the studio on September 1 to record the follow up to their acclaimed debut ‘You’re A Woman, I’m A Machine’.
The Canadian duo are currently writing new material for the record and hope to have to it released by next Spring. Bass/synth player Jesse Keeler told Billboard: “The new album will come out in March, but we will be done with it in December.” They plan to release their comeback single in the UK in January.
Speaking about the process behind the recording of the new album, Keeler added: . “I write the music and Sebastian writes all the vocal things -- which I have nothing to do with. It will probably be 10 songs long and ... epic.”
DFA 1979 will tour the US with Nine Inch Nails and Queens Of The Stone Age this October.
