Snoop Dogg is planning to record a collaboration with Cheryl Cole on her next solo album.

The rapper is no stranger to team ups, having previously worked with Katy Perry and Justin Timberlake, and is now determined to work with the Girls Aloud star as well.

Snoop told The Daily Star: "I will work with Cheryl, that is for sure. It's going to happen. Hip-hop sells in America and that is the direction her manager will.i.am wants to take her.

"I have already talked with him about collaborating with her on her next album and I am down with it.

"He's got some big names planned for her and is talking with Eminem as well. It's going to get real big for Cheryl."

Cheryl is managed by will.i.am, so she's no stranger to the hip-hop genre, and has even tried out her rapping skills on an unreleased track with the Black Eyed Peas star.

Speaking to Capital FM, Cheryl’s manager Will.i.am said: "We did the song and she said, 'Put some rap in', and I was like, is that a question? 'Put some rap in'. When she talks a lot of the times it sounds like she's asking me questions.

“I was like, I don't think we should put it out, but it's fresh. Like, really, really, really dope.”
