Girls Aloud have teased the official announcement of their comeback with a video teaser for their upcoming single. Check it out below.
The video shows the girls walking away from the camera in slow motion and starting to turn in unison just as the clip ends with a promise of an announcement being made live on YouTube on Friday.
The reunion is to coincide with the girl group's tenth anniversary and the video is fueling rumours of a new 'Greatest Hits' collection and a final headline tour of the UK.
Despite fans' joy at the reunion announcement, Cheryl Cole has already stated that this is the band's last work together.
Glad to see the back of them? Girls Aloud tease comeback single
In her autobiography, Cheryl wrote: We’ll be working on a tour and greatest hits album. Then I think that’s it for Girls Aloud.
"We’ve achieved more than any of us ever dared to dream of."
She also opened up about the tumultuous relationship with Nadine Coyle and blamed it in part for the band's hiatus. In the book, Cheryl recalls the Brit Awards ceremony in 2008, when Nadine decided not to attend - despite the group's Best Group nomination.
"I think we all expected her to come up with some sort of excuse, but she actually just admitted, ‘It’s not really my thing’.
"I can remember a sort of stunned silence, like we’d all be slapped in the face, but I was so cut up about my marriage this didn’t really make the impact it probably should have."
Nadine, however, doesn't seem to feel the same - the fellow Girls Aloud star wrote on Twitter: "Wow wow wow! Farewells? Tears? What? No way this is a happy day!” and added “I never ever ever want @GirlsAloud to break up! Ever! Xxx ever!"
