X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger’s comments about the role of her former Pussycat Doll’s band mates have not gone unnoticed and today former Doll Kaya Jones has refuted the claims.
As part of an upcoming VH1 Behind The Music Special Nicole Scherzinger claims that she did “95% of the singing in The Pussycat Dolls” and that the rest of the group did not record any vocals for their albums. Kaya Jones has spoken out fellow about the role of her and her other bandmates - Melody Thornton, 28, Ashley Roberts, 31, Kimberly Wyatt, 30, Jessica Sutta, 30, and Carmit Bachar, 38.
While Jones did not deny Scherzinger’s claims that the other girls did not record vocals for their ‘PCD’ album she did tell TMZ ''To call the other girls in the Pussycat Dolls 'window dressings' is a bit far-fetched ... every girl in the group was talented.''
Kaya also got a dig in at Scherzinger adding ''there was a lot more going on behind the scenes. Nicole was always someone who wanted to be in the spotlight and would do pretty much anything to get it.”
