Rihanna has taken to Twitter to share her gratitude with fans after new single 'Diamonds' was met with huge praise from her online fanbase.
The star premiered new single 'Diamonds' at 1pm UK time, and was immediately overwhelmed with messages of support on Twitter. Having trailed the single heavily on the social network, she then took to her Twitter account to thank fans for the positive response to the track.
"Y'all makin a n*gga feel so phuckin great right now!!!" She tweeted. "Thank you guys!!!"
She also hit out at a UK magazine for poor treatment during a photoshoot, after earlier telling fans that she was on her way to a 'top secret' shoot in London.
"*Meanwhile on set* being able to do hair and being able to do black hair are 2 different things! #magazines please pay attention!" She tweeted shortly afterwards.
'Diamonds' is taken from the US star's seventh studio album and is written by David Guetta collaborator, Sia, to whom Rihanna referred to earlier as her 'wife' on Twitter earlier today (26 September, 2012). 'Diamonds' has been produced by production superstars Stargate and Benny Bianco.
The track is a mid-tempo electronic track, with subtle beats and a catchy 'Shine bright light a diamond' hook.
Speaking to iHeartRadio ahead of the track's online debut, Rihanna said:"It's laid-back but it's hopeful. It's a record that... gives me such a great feeling when I listen to it. The lyrics are very hopeful and positive, but it's about love and... a little different to what people would expect, I think."
