Prince appeared on US TV yesterday, showing off a new look to those watching The View. (Sept 17)

The singer, who has regularly used chemical relaxers on his hair, showed off a more natural look with an afro hairstyle.

Prince appeared on the show alongside actress Rosario Dawson to promote the charity Rebuild The Dream. The musician is to play three live dates in Chicago in order to raise money for the charity, which seeks to make a fairer and more equitable economy in America.

Speaking to host Barbara Walters, Prince admitted to being nervous, saying:  'I'm just that way around you.'
 
Asked for his thoughts on Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber, Prince merely offered the opinion of 'Different strokes for different folks.'
