It has been confirmed that an animated version of Skrillex appears in new Disney movie Wreck-It Ralph.
As reported on Gigwise, Skrillex will provide music for the film when it is released later this year. However, producers of the movie were keen to get the 'Bangarang' star on screen as well.
Clark Spencer, producer of the movie told Total Film that: "We asked him if we could do it. We went to him first and said, 'Hey, we have this party scene in the world of Fix It Felix Jr, and we have a DJ and we think it would make a nice cameo if we put you into it.' And he was ecstatic."
Adding: "We built his model, we put on his look, and we sent it to him to have him give us comments. And he said he would never wear non-black tennis shoes. He said "My tennis shoes will always be black." So we changed the tennis shoes to black."
Actors John C. Reilly, Sarah Silverman and Jane Lynch have already signed on to provide voices in the film, which is due to be released later in 2012.
Wreck-It Ralph is described as being about a "nine-foot-tall, 643-pound villain of the arcade video game Fix-It Felix Jr., in which the game's titular hero fixes a building that Ralph destroys. For 30 years, Ralph has been doing the same job over and over and has become tired of being the bad guy."
Skrillex is making a name as a go-to guy for movie scores and will also be working on Spring Breakers, the new Harmony Korine film starring Vanessa Hudgens and Selena Gomez.
