Kanye West has taken to Twitter to discuss the use of the word 'b*tch', a word with which he is very familiar with.
Kanye tweeted earlier today (3 September, 2012), "I usually never tweet questions but I struggle with this so here goes... Is the word B*TCH acceptable?"
The
tweets have sparked a huge debate, and it has raised a number of questions with regards to the use of profanity in hip hop.
He later went on to ask his eight and a half million followers, "To be more specific, is it acceptable for a man to call a woman a bitch even if it's endearing?...Even typing it in question form it's still feels harsh?"
“Here's the age old question, would we refer to our mothers as b*tches? Would' we call our fathers n****s or better yet N****S?
The 'Gold Digger' star also stated, “I like to use profanity as a tool and not a crutch.”
After rumours surfaced at the beginning of the year that friend and collaborator
Jay Z had decided not to use that specific word, maybe Kanye is now followng suit and also having a change of heart?
Jay Z’s alleged decision stemmed from the birth of his first child with
Beyoncé, daughter Blue Ivy Carter.
