Staffordshire police have named the man who was found dead in his tent at V Festival as Timothy Brockhurst.
The man was found in the early hours of Sunday morning in an unresponsive state in his tent at the Stafford site of V Festival. Police are not treating his death as suspicious.
"Specially trained family liaison officers are working to support the family at this extremely difficult time. The cause of the death remains unknown and a post-mortem will take place early next week," said a spokesman for Staffordshire police.
Brockhurst was pronounced dead at the scene after attempts by festival staff to revive the man were unsuccessful. The area around his tent was sealed off and statements were taken from his friends.
V Festival organisers extended their sympathies to Brockhurst's family, saying in a statement: "Our team worked throughout the night to support those affected at the festival site and we want to thank everyone for their co-operation and support during the incident."
