Taylor Swift has topped iTunes download sharts in 25 countries with her new single 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together', and looks set to break download records.
The song topped the U.S. iTunes chart in just one hour after its Monday release, and since then has gone on to top charts in Australia, Brazil and 22 other countries.
The song is reportedly heading for first-week downloads of 600,000, and if this is achieved, it would make it the fastest selling song by a female artist ever. Lady Gaga currently holds the record; her track 'Born This Way' was downloaded 448,000 times in its first week.
Joe Jonas, Swift's ex-boyfriend, has recently stated the song is not about him, saying: "I don't think we've ever tried [to get back together] another time, so I can tell you it's not about me."
Swift has said new album 'Red' is inspired by 'intense relationships', and will feature a duet with British star Ed Sheeran.
