Bjork is the latest star from the music world to come out and voice their support for imprisoned Russian band Pussy Riot.
The trio have been locked up since March on hooliganism charges after staging a protest against Russian president Vladimir Putin in Moscow. They recently faced trial and have spoken about the injustices in the Russian government.
Voicing her support for the Pussy Riot cause, Bjork made a plea on her website, which reads:
"As a musician and a mother i would like to express i fiercely dont agree with them being put to jail because of their peaceful protest performance.
Continuing: "in my opinion the russian authorities should let them go home to their families and children… I would like to invite pussy riot to join me in a particular song on stage : which was written for all enhancement of justice ( you can guess : once , which one ).
Bjork is not the first big name star to support Pussy Riot with Madonna making similar statements during her visit to Russia earlier this week.
Elsewhere, the band's cause has been supported by the likes of Johnny Marr, Jarvis Cocker and Pete Townshend.
