E4 comedy band The Midnight Beast have revealed that their career is based on getting naked - much to the occasional confusion of elderly family members.
Frontman Stefan Abingdon has revealed that naked photo he posted on Twitter was confused as a 'leak' by his grandmother, who immediately contacted him to voice her concerns.
“When I reached 100,000 followers on Twitter, I posted a picture of myself just in a sock to say ‘thanks guys’," he tells The Sun newspaper. “My Nana phoned my mum, saying, ‘Someone’s leaked a naked picture of Stefan on the internet.’
“My mum went, ‘Oh no, he put it up himself,’ and she went, ‘Oh, that’s alright then.’ They know our career is to get our junk out.”
He also adds that their young fans are clever enough not to take sex advice from the trio, who advised listeners to have anal sex to avoid getting pregnant in one of their early tracks.
“It said a lot when our fans came and said, ‘We may be young but we’re not stupid. Do you think we’d take safe sex advice from The Midnight Beast?’" he adds.
