Freddie Cowan of The Vaccines has revealed that he could work with his brother Tom, a member of The Horrors, on a forthcoming b-side for his band.
The Vaccines, who release new album 'Coming of Age' in September, have plans to record a solo track for each of the album's four singles. Speaking to Clash, Freddie revealed his interest in working with his brother for his contribution.
"There's a concept of all four singles and every member of the band has to write and record their own B-side. Well, I'm probably going to do mine with my brother," he said. "I asked him to produce and he’s really up for doing it. I don't know if we’d collaborate on stage because we’ve done it already, but it’d be nice to do a collaboration with someone."
The Vaccines Justin Young recently revealed his interest in branching out from the band, telling us he wants to write songs for pop stars such as Rihanna.
"I'd definitely like to write to other artists," Young told Gigwise. "It's hard because I get so many melodies and don't know what to do with them, but i've never taken the emotional element out of songwriting.
"If I was proud of the song and didn't want it, i'd certainly be happy for someone else to sing it."
The Vaccines Come Of Age is released on September 3rd.
