This album, the work of 26-year-old Parisienne Cecile Schott is an absolutely brilliant masterpiece of otherworldly epic proportions. Beginning with the ebb and flow of a plucked mandolin backed by tweeting birdcall this journey into magical and sublime soundscapes is fantastic. Each track merges seamlessly from one to the next and the song titles ('Long Live Mince In The Metro', 'A Swimming Pool Down The Railway Track') are exotic as the noises that float into your mind. The press release says "it's seems a shame to tarnish the delicate perfection of Colleen's music with words", which just about sums it up really. If you like the odd record that will fuck with your head then you should make it this one. Sit back with a big bag of weed and leave it rolling in the background, it'll throw up pictures, moods and unwritten movies in your mind.
