US rapper Flo Rida has been ordered to pay $400k to Australian festival organisers Mothership Music for failing to turn up to the Fat As Butter festival in Newcastle, Australia in 2011.

The 'Wild Ones' rapper, who perhaps should be fined for some of his terrible singles as well, pulled out of the New South Wales event at the last minute, apparently claiming that he slept in, and was therefore unaware to perform. An Australian court has now ruled in favour of Mothership Music.

Flo Rida's payment will cover air fares, accommodation, hospitality and legal fees - plus damages to the organiser's reputation.

There was no representative for Flo Rida in the court, and it had been previously claimed that there had been no room booked for him on arrival in Sydney, and also that the legal papers were served via Facebook.

Flo Rida denies the claims made by Mothership Music.
