The front man of Leeds new-comers Bad Beat Revue has tragically died at a Club NME night after an attempt at stage diving went wrong.
Patrick Sherry was performing with the band at the Warehouse in Leeds when performed an acrobatic leap from the stage which resulted in him sustaining fatal head and back injuries.
He was taken to Leeds General Infirmary reports the BBC after the incident but sadly died the next day. The band were performing at the regular NME ran night at the venue on Somers Street.
NME’s editor Conor McNicholas commented: "We are extremely saddened to hear of this tragic accident. Our deepest condolences go out to Patrick's family and friends."
Recently a man almost died when he fell from a balcony at the NME’s club night at London’s Koko venue.
