Joy Zipper is a Florida-based realtor. She specializes in luxury homes and waterfront relocations. Joy...wooah there, wrong Joy Zipper. Joy Zipper are a New York duo comprising real-life New York couple Tabitha Tindale and Vincent Cafiso. Who did, though, name the group after Tindale´s mother´s maiden name. Dream poppers with occasional snarl, think The Raveonettes trying to sabotage a Mercury Rev gig by turning up, invading the stage and attempting to darken the light. Joy Zipper broke through with their 2000´s self-titled debut. They´ve kept impressing the critics since with subsequent albums ´American Whip´ and ´The Heartlight Set´ awarded four marks out of five, as was indeed their predecessor, by the venerable All Music Guide.

Acolytes of Air, they secured a much-coveted support slot on the French duo´s 2004 UK tour - the pick of their performances coming at the 18th February gig at Brixton Academy. Where Tabby and Vinny managed to rouse the crowd before Air put them to sleep as they perfomed their tracks in the same way a CD player does. Ones to watch.
