The Official UK Singles and Albums chart have a distinctly ginger glow this week with Florence + The Machine and Newton Faulkner both sitting at number one.

Florence secured her first ever single number one with her song 'Spectrum', boosted by a chart-friendly remix from Calvin Harris. Spectrum beat off competition from Will.i.am and last week's number one, 'Payphone' by Maroon 5, to take the top spot.

Elsewhere in the Singles chart there were new entries for Adam Lambert and The Vaccines.

Meanwhile, in the Album Chart, Newton Faulkner scored a surprise number one with his new album 'Write It On Your Skin'. The much heralded debut album from Frank Ocean, 'Channel Orange' scored a respectable second spot based on digital sales alone.

Other new album entries this week came from Lianne La Havas, The View, Adam Lambert and Rush.
