Jack and Meg reunite for release of their first ever gig

The White Stripes will release a recording from their first gig ever on vinyl later this year.

The duo, who announced their permanent split in 2011, will release a 7" single titled  'Live At The Gold Dollar' recorded at an open mic night in Detroit on July 14, 1997.

'Live At The Gold Dollar' will be released via Jack White's Third Man Records as part of the label's subscription service The Vault. A 12" record recorded at the same venue in August 1997 will also be available.
