Jason Donovan has expressed his upset at not being able to perform as part of Pete Waterman's Hit Factory concert this weekend where he was due to reunite with Kylie Minogue.
The big gig, which was also due to draw performances from Steps, Sonia and Sinitta, was cancelled yesterday after heavy rain and the Wireless festival rendered Hyde Park unsafe.
Tweeting about the cancellation, Donovan said he was 'extremely disappointed' and adding that the decision was tough to make.
"Everyone who was heading to Hyde Park tomorrow ..... What can I say .... we are all extremely disappointed.
"We appreciate that you all must be extremely frustrated but please bear in mind that this decision was not taken Lightly.
"Can't believe it .... Was really looking forward to celebrating the wonderful work of Mike Matt and Pete and all who made those songs. So special to a generation!"
Festival organisers have maintained that the Hard Rock Calling festival this weekend will still go ahead in Hyde Park as planned.
