MFest, the first ever Morrisons (yes, the supermarket) foray into the festival market has been cancelled due to the terrible weather currently ravaging the UK.
The two day event, due to take place at Harewood House in Leeds, was deemed unsafe amidst the heavy rainfall which is also affected revellers at T In The Park and Wireless this weekend.
Speaking about the decision to cancel MFest, event organisers said: "It is with our deepest regret that due to the adverse weather conditions leading up to this event in conjunction with the extreme weather warning as issued by the Met Office for the weekend, we were left with no other decision than to abandon this weekend's MFEST."
"The public's health and safety is of paramount concern, therefore it would be irresponsible to continue no matter how disappointed we all are."
"Information on ticket refunds will be issued on Monday 9th July."
MFest was due to see performances from Cher Lloyd, The Human League, Texas and many more.
