Tyler, the Creator has revealed that he already knew about Frank Ocean’s sexuality, despite being accused of homophobia in the past.
After Ocean’s blog post on Tuesday (4 July), Tyler took to Twitter to show his support, writing: “My Big Brother Finally F**king Did That. Proud Of That N***a Cause I Know That Shit Is Difficult Or Whatever. Anyway. I'm A Toilet.”
When a fan later commented on Tyler’s formspring account about the news, the rapper responded: “hahaha yeah, ive know for a while, he told me a long time ago. it was just funny cause i was getting bashed as a homophobe or whatever and i kept saying dude how am i one? i have gay friends like what the f**k leave me alone haha. yeah thats my n***a tho, shit is hard for him but he did that.”
Last year Tyler had an argument with indie duo Tegan and Sara after they accused him of having “homophobic slurs” in his lyrics. Tyler responded by saying Teagan and Sara, who are both openly gay, might “Need Some Hard Dick.”
