The Stone Roses triumphant return to Manchester this week has seen the band's greatest hits album soaring up the official UK Album Chart.

'The Very Best Of The Stone Roses' is currently number eight in the UK Album Chart mid-week update, as fans seek to purchase a keepsake of the three huge gigs at Heaton Park which took place between June 29-July 1.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in the album chart, Chris Brown looks set to be number one with his new album 'Fortune' easily outselling the nearest competition. Linkin Park, last week's number one, have slipped to three.

The Stone Roses have also backed the search for a Manchester man who went missing following the Heaton Park gig on Friday. 22 year old Christopher Brahney was last seen at the gig on June 29th and friends and family are now looking for anybody who may know his whereabouts.
