Skrillex has confirmed that he will score the new movie Spring Breakers, the teen movie directed by Harmony Korina and starring Selena Gomez.
The film, which will also feature Vanessa Hudgens and James Franco, tells the tale of a group of teen girls on Spring Break and the problems they encounter when they rob a restaurant to fund their holiday.
Speaking tol Rolling Stone about his decision to take on the musical duties on Spring Breakers, Skrillex said: "I think this film is going to turn a lot of heads in many ways. It was a lot of fun to work with Harmony because he gave me the freedom and trust to do whatever I wanted."
Adding: "Scoring to film is definitely a different approach to music making in the sense that it's not so much about how the music sounds by itself as it is finding ways to complement the vibe of the film."
Skrillex was in the news most recently when girlfriend Ellie Goulding sent angry messages to Twitter when he was held by customs officials at Heathtrow Airport.
