Glastonbury festival will no longer be organised by Festival Republic after their ten year relationship was officially ended yesterday.
Festival Republic have helmed the UK's biggest festival since 2001, seeing such iconic headline acts as Coldplay, Jay-Z, Blur and Bruce Springsteen.
Describing the split is 'mutual', Festival Republic issued a statement to Music Week which claims: "Time moves on and now is the time for Michael [Eavis] and the Glastonbury team to pick up the reins again and build for the future. This will then allow Melvin (Benn) and the Festival Republic team to focus on growing new Festival Republic events and the existing FR owned festivals."
Melvin Benn, Operations Director for Festival Republic, was recently made Chairman of Wembley Stadium.
Tickets for Glastonbury festival 2013 will be available to fans from October. Michael Eavis recently claimed that he invited Adele to headline the Somerset festival.
