Will.i.am said that Cheryl Cole’s rap was supposed to be kept a secret.

The ‘Call My Name’ singer told Muzu.tv earlier in the week that she had rapped on a track she recorded with Will.i.am which didn’t make the final cut of the album.

Speaking to Capital FM recently, Cheryl’s manager Will.i.am told them that she hadn’t been supposed to talk about it.

“I can't believe she told people about that. It was supposed to be just for the hard drive,” he said. “We were going through a lot, with drama - The X Factor - and 'the next factor' drama.

“We did the song and she said, 'Put some rap in', and I was like, is that a question? 'Put some rap in'. When she talks a lot of the times it sounds like she's asking me questions.

“I was like, I don't think we should put it out, but it's fresh. Like, really, really, really dope.”

Cheryl’s third studio album, ‘A Million Lights’, reached number two on the UK chart on Sunday (June 24).
