The Scissor Sisters have been performing at secret gigs under various different pseudonyms in order to test out new tracks from their forthcoming new album.
For the last three weeks, the New York nutters have been performing under the names ‘Bridget Jones’ Diarrhoea’, ‘Megapussi’ and ‘Portion Control’ at the Big Apple’s Mercury Lounge.
Most fans in attendance had gathered that the band was the Scissor Sisters beforehand and at the gig they did play some of their famous hits.
One fan said: "They performed seven new songs, which sounded great, as well as familiar hits like ‘Filthy/Gorgeous’.
"To think, a couple of weeks ago they performed in front of 200,000 at the London Live 8 show, and now they are trying out new stuff in front of only 250."
