Green Day have confirmed that the first single to be taken from their forthcoming album trilogy will be titled 'Oh Love'.
The song title was revealed on Green Day's official website yesterday (June 25) with the confirmation that the single will be made available to fans from July 16th.
Green Day have, so far, unveiled the artwork to two of the three albums they plan to release between September 2012 and January 2013. You can see the cover shot for Dos! here, whilst the Billie-Joe Armstrong featuring shot for first album Uno! is above.
Speaking about the way the albums are shaping up, Armstring recently compared the songs to AC/DC and The Clash, saying: "If you listen to it, it feels grand. But it also feels like a garage band," said lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong."
Adding: "We wanted something punchier, more power pop – somewhere between AC/DC and the early Beatles."
