The first trailer for season five of brilliant supernatural US drama True Blood has made it's online debut - and things are looking darker than even for Sookie Stackhouse and the residents of Bon Temps.

The teaser shows Sookie burying a body outside her home, suggests new trouble for Arlene and Terry, more seduction for Jessica, some boy-on-boy action for ladies man Jason and more shirt-ripping, fang-baring, blood-splattering than you could shake a garlic-soaked stake at.

True Blood: series five is set to return in summer 2012. This series will be the last for Alan Ball, who has produced the show since its 2008 beginnings.
