Do racehorses like pop-rave? We'd hope they do, as dance star Calvin Harris has been announced as the headline act at Newbury Racecourse in May to launch the sixth annual Party In The Paddock event.
The show, which mixes racing with raving, is Harris' first show of 2012. He was one of the biggest names in music in 2011 after producing Rihanna's 'We Found Love' international chart-topper. He returns later in 2012 with a new single, featuring US R&B star Ne-Yo.
“This will be the first time I have ever performed at a racecourse," says Harris. "It will be fantastic to be able to perform to a crowd of already adrenaline fuelled racegoers!”
