Welsh crooner Tom Jones was left shame-faced when he fialed to recognise a woman who had previously supported the star on tour while judging BBC talent show, The Voice.
Singer Alison Jiear auditioned for the show, which features Jones as a judge alongside Jessie J, Danny O'Donoghue of The Script and Will.i.am, having previously performed alongside the 'Delilah' star with her band, The Fabulous Singettes on a number of tours.
"Tom really likes Alison and felt terrible. It just shows how tricky the show is..." a show source tells The Sun newspaper.
Jones was said to be 'devastated' at the incident. The Voice launches on UK Tv screens on Saturday 24 March, 2012.
