50 Cent has proved he is the biggest thing in American hip hop at the moment by leading the mid-year album sales charts.His latest album ‘The Massacre’ has sold twice as many copies as the second place artist in the chart; holding off Mariah Carey and her ‘The Emancipation Of Mimi’ album by a long way.
The rappers sales in the US have topped the 4 million mark, while poor old Mariah has come in second with only 2.3 million sales, reports ContactMusic.
The Top Ten selling albums in the US for this year so far looks like this:

3. The Game – ‘Documentary’
4. Green Day – ‘American Idiot’

9. Various Artists – ‘Now 18’
10. Eminem – ‘Encore’
