Ex-Stone Roses frontman, Ian Brown has been speaking out about his short stint in prison.
Brown was convicted of air rage in 1998 and was sentenced to four months in Manchester’s Strangeways jail, left the prison with even less respect for authority then he had when he went in!
He said to ContactMusic: "I went in with no respect for authority and came back with even less.
"It just showed me that it's where all the poor kids end up. So many of the kids there were from the poorest areas of the city.
"Society hasn't moved on from 150 years ago.
"But I came out thinking, 'They can't stop me. It takes Sten guns to stop me. I'm not a monkey, I'm a lion."
