X Factor runner-up Marcus Collins has revealed that he has received 'a lot of albuse' over his cover of The White Stripes' Seven Nation Army - you can listen to it below.
The singer will release the cover as his debut single on March 12.
Speaking to The Sun, Collins said: I've had a lot of abuse. Plenty. Seriously. But I know I can't please everyone. A lot of people have got opinions on it but they can always listen to the White Stripes version.
He continued: "Why are they listening to me if they don't like it? Listen to the original if you don't like my singing. It's just the X Factor connection but, you know, why are people kicking off about it now?"
Matt Cardle covered Biffy Clyro's 'Many Of Honour' when he won in 2010, while Alexandra Burke sang Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah back in 2008.
The duo of Jack and Meg White announced last February that they had no plans to record together or play live again.
They said they had come to decision to protect the band's legacy and thanked fans for supporting them “throughout the 13 plus years of The White Stripes intense and incredible career”.
